I used to go to a Pentecostal Church
And almost every Sunday they would have a Time of prayer.
They call all the poor and needy all the injured and fatigued.
Up to the front to receive healing and whatever else they need.
And at least once a month
They'd invite My pal up to the front.
Even with his hearing aids he can't hear much.
They lay their hands on his shoulders.
They lay hands upon his head.
And they pray and pray and pray until my buddy finally said.
"I think that last prayer might have helped a little bit."
I never asked him if he meant it - but I kind of doubt he did.
If I were to guess I'd say he was humiliated.
So he lied to the pastor just to escape the cringe.
The congregation wept and praised the Lord.
While my friend crept to the back of the room and was ignored
I used To go to a Pentecostal Church
But the young adult leader took me for all I was worth.
This man said the Lord told him he and I should start a business.
But I was swindled by this crook. Lord Jesus, can I get a witness?
He put TVs and electronics on my card till it was maxed.
Then he kicked me out the company and never paid me back.
